A subscription platform for running village festivals — multiple events, PIN access for staff, free and paid plans.
The problem
Village festivals are run with paper sheets, WhatsApp groups and a different app every year. Associations that run several events have no single tool for menus, tables and volunteers, and don’t want to install anything on the phones of people helping out for one evening.
The solution
- A five-step guided sign-up and a “My festivals” page with an address for each event.
- Tabbed event management: menu, staff, tables.
- Volunteer access with a PIN on the event’s address, no account needed, with lockout after too many attempts.
- Free, starter and pro plans with limits and expiry.
- Light and dark theme.
How it’s built
- A multi-organisation database on Supabase: every row belongs to its owner, and the security rules enforce it in the database, not in the UI.
- The plan system is a standalone module: limits, checks on what can be added, and an upgrade dialog when you go over.
- On hold: the admin side is done; the dining room, kitchen and till views will come from the Festa Manager project instead of being rewritten.
