SkedaFit

An app for personal trainers — an exercise catalogue with photos, block-based workout plans and a public page for every client.

The problem

A personal trainer writes dozens of workout plans a week, often in Word or on paper, and sends them as photos on WhatsApp. Clients lose them, can’t see how an exercise is done, and every change means starting over.

The solution

  • A catalogue of 211 exercises with photos and filters by muscle and equipment.
  • A block-based plan builder (sequence or circuit) with reusable templates.
  • Every plan gets a public page for the client, branded with the gym’s logo.
  • Sharing via WhatsApp, email or QR code, and PDF printing with photos.
  • Three roles with guided onboarding, privacy consents and protection for minors; it installs as an app on the phone.

How it’s built

  • Clerk login is natively wired to Supabase: the database security rules (RLS) know who the user is without hand-made tokens.
  • The role is always re-read on the server, never trusted from what the browser sends.
  • Public pages read only through dedicated database functions, not from the tables.
  • Before printing the PDF, the app waits for every photo to load and decode: otherwise the print comes out with empty boxes.
